Remains

Remains

The thought

That you’re nowhere

But in the earth

Not even

Ruined beauty

Only simple remains

Lying beyond recapture

Falling before achieving

This age of ridiculous desire

Eastern Western

Eastern Western

The feet of the dance hall girls shuffle

As they can can off the dusty stage

Bending to toss their red garters

Souvenirs of a paradise

That’s always a border away

Wagon wheels turn and return

Scoring blank desert and white skull

Crossing bridges of burning tumbleweed

And rivers of stampeding cattle as

The cobwebbed posse rounds up strays

At high noon

The Buddha of the future

Steps off the rebirth train

Supernatural

Supernatural

At that time

There was only the slightest

Element of the supernatural

In her face

And demeanor

She knew what the rest

Of the world did not – that

This second immaculate conception

Was the result of forces

From Outer Space

Acting in the name of Love

Quote Bag: Novalis: Press Me, Baby!

To you, Mary,

A thousand hearts are lifted.

In this shadow life

They would yearn only for you.

They hope to be delivered

With presentient desire –

If only you would press them, Holy Being,

To your true breast.

– Novalis

Quote Bag: Ho for Idaho!

Then, suddenly, our terrible enemies threw off their masks and displayed their true natures.

With a gleaming knife, he threatened to end all her further troubles in this world.

A dread of being separated from the only white woman in that awful wilderness filled me with horror.

I turned for a last look and even the smoke was gone.

Skeletons

Skeletons

Doll art

Asphyxiation

Stepping toward me

Still pushing her

Coat away delivering

Little exclamations driving

Us to eventuality to

The extinction of experience

The realm of the foraging hand

The skeletons inside us

Finding strange company

In the flesh

Naked strangled

With the bed sheet

The smell of electricity

Smoldering blinking

Her eyes closed

As she talks

Crime Beat: One Nutty Squirrel

Squirrel bites EMU student on toe

A 17-year-old Eastern Michigan University student was bitten by a squirrel near Sherzer Hall at about 4 p.m. Wednesday, campus police said.

The women said the squirrel approached her and she spoke to it, saying she didn’t have any food.

The squirrel then bit her on a toe on her left foot, and would not let go, she said. She had to shake the squirrel off her foot.

She suffered a deep puncture wound to her toe and was taken to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital for treatment. Witnesses said police kept an eye on the squirrel until hospital authorities informed them it would not have to be tested.

Crime Beat: Cross-Dresser Traffic

He, dressed as she, hits lingerie store

Saying he was angry a lingerie store refused to hire him, a man dressed in women’s clothing drove his vehicle into a building – causing $3,000 in damage and resulting in felony charges, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said.

Jeremy McIntosh, 27, was arraigned Monday. If convicted, McIntosh – who wore makeup, blue capri pants, red flip-flops, a flowery blouse and a matching bra during the incident – could face prison time.

He was being held in Oakland County Jail.

He told deputies he was homeless and wanted to go to jail.
