Sad Details Emerge

Sad details emerge
The endangerment finding
Prep school sex inquiries
As a prelude to a classroom stabbing
A change agent
Taunting a police animal
Misbehaving before the enemy
Some kind of mascara-wearing
Massacre-seeking entity
Slaughtering the anointed
In the hallways
With the hallmarks of a
Grotesque thriller novel
A discourse saboteur
A drug-addled degenerate whose
Artwork celebrated consumerism
And the relation of individuals
To corrupted systems
On intimate terms with the deepest
Levels of physical reality
A bad sport strange atypical
The bloom of a flowering plant
A mass of combustible matter
A vexing gesture toward damage and delusion
The violation of parity and
The failure of the American ethos
Have I been discoursing to no avail whatsoever
Girls in heels holding objects
And gesturing to them
In the experience center
A census designated place
A bad place for a beef
The casualty officer
Wondering whether he’d killed the fuck

Our Time

1pam1

The stolid institutions
Surrounding her
The walls of a maze
Skewing together
And apart
Lines and rectangles
Shifting like the
Hands of a clock
Our time

Debris

gho

Time had suffered a profound disturbance, and I could feel all sorts of dark debris from the far past shifting and beginning to move up towards the surface.

The Colors and Conventional Forms

4pam4

I always see once more the room where I came to break with you the bread of our desires, I always see once more your undressed pallor which unites in the morning with the disappearing stars. I know I am going to close my eyes again in order to rediscover the colors and conventional forms which allow me to approach you.

If beauty is not a gateway out of the net we were taken in at our birth, it will not long be beauty, and we will find it better to sit at home by the fire and fatten a lazy body or to run hither and thither in some foolish sport than to look at the finest show ever made among green leaves.
