In Australia

They call her Water Drinking Woman

Quite a vessel in those days

A version of her earlier self

With a new emphasis on the

Disordering power of sexual desire

Your imperative

Get her out of the asylum

And impregnate her

Back at the Old Farm

With her gangster sons

And ripe corpses planted

In the back field

Between her very complicated knees

As she assumes the boon bestowing posture

Feel her body shiver

The transitions of matter
