Crime Beat: Chicken and Dumpings

DETROIT

Who dumped all that chicken?

Investigators are trying to determine who dumped a ton of frozen chicken on a city street.

Police called the city’s Department of Public Works at 3:30 p.m. when they discovered about 30 boxes on Livernois, just south of Fort. DPW Deputy Director Ron Brundidge said Monday the boxes indicated the chicken was packed in 2008 in North Carolina.

"Our environmental affairs department is trying to determine how the chicken got from that point to ending up on a street in the city of Detroit," Brundidge said.

There has got to be a REALLY funny comment in there somewhere… I’ll let you know when I think of it.

I’m guessing that it either came from or was going to The Bridge. Those could be Canadian chickens. (Which would facilitate easy freezing)Colonel Nigel Patel
