I approached the stump area and inspected in a hole under the stump. When I laid down and looked into the hole, I saw what appeared to be human hair. After using a flashlight to look into the stump area, I confirmed it was a human head.

sorry to be, even as I speak, missing it. I had thought of perhaps coming along, but as you probably know, it’s the health thing (again).
I wish you had come, though it would have destroyed the symmetry – it was like Noah’s Ark – two authors, two publicists, two booksellers and two customers!
