Guest attacked with a chopstick
An Ann Arbor man attending a small party Saturday told police he was attacked by his intoxicated host who wielded a plastic chopstick.
The 20-year-old man told Ann Arbor Police he was at a party with three other people at a home in the 900 block of Woodlawn Avenue early Saturday when the host became angry for no apparent reason. The 21-year-old host started throwing eggs, striking the victim and a female.
The pair locked themselves in a bathroom, but the other man broke the door down and began swinging a plastic chopstick, police said. The victim said he managed to grab it and break it, but was scraped on the back.
Officers said the man suffered a half-inch cut under his left shoulder but was not seriously hurt. He sought treatment at the University of Michigan Medical Center’s emergency room.
