Purple
Lying on the beach
Like an hourglass
Out of heaven
Cast down in
Undoubted splendor
The slouching goddess
Garmented in light
Paler yet there
Her all too evident maturity
Concealed in dead silence
Delusive delicious daring
As contemptuously beautiful
As a temple mask
My fine fishermaid
With the air of an empress
And a wave of command
Go and wash this filthy whiteness
In the dissolving blue yes
Golden hazed and exquisitely scented
Hasty and careless yet
The cynosure of the future
The glowing center of a mystery
That rises and falls
Under the purple polka dots
Of her bikini
