She’s graduated – legal – now a former student – coming in as a model for a long deferred photo session– enters chewing gum – no an apple – but that’s all obliterated in a casually presented flash as she languidly slides down the wall by the door & I realize she’s not wearing any underwear what’s going on here whatever she wants she takes a final bite out of that fucking apple sets it on the table then slips out of her uniform jacket stands again pulling off her already unbuttoned blouse & then shimmies her back to me turns bends & crooks her finger & I mechanically pick up my camera & begin shooting following her as she continues her sinuous dance unzipping her skirt stepping out of her shoes finally tossing her uniform tie aside neither of us have said a word since Come In just Neil Young playing from before she lays on the floor tantalizing overcome I put the camera down and step toward her but she springs up grabs the camera and begins taking pictures of herself in the mirror but still flexing and twisting she turns around hands the camera to me puts the ties & shoes back on and poses again this time with a taunting wild edge striking eerie Shiele poses unconcerned but now and then shooting a superior glance at me & the camera her body just flowing serpentine around the room as she collects her blazer & skirt & puts on everything but her blouse at last leaning against the door I’ve shown you everything she says holding open the blazer her bare torso glowing like a rich jewel against the blue silk lining chrysalis & revealed nothing
