A Leak In The Safe

It sometimes happens that August has passed, but the thick old trunk of summer keeps producing out of sheer force of habit, pushing out those wild shoot days, weed days, barren and moronic, sometimes throwing in for good measure corncob days, empty and inedible–white, surprised and superfluous days.
