The Crow Sisters

The girls along the creek
Briefly
Before they fade away
Under the shadow
Of the black cross

Haunted Western Pennsylvania

Liberace healed by a ghostly glowing weeping
Nun backstage at the Hamlet Street Theater
As a hideous green skinned man in a Hulk
Costume pounds on the window Halloween
Nina’s dressed as a type of clown called the
Red Meanie bouncing off the rubber walls
Patients from a burned out mental hospital
A deafening explosion out on the Old Road
A teenage girl’s voice whispering It’s O.K. to die
That’s when I realized I was chasing a ghost

Skin Song

crosscurrents

She was so full of grace
That there was no limb of her body
That did not feel particular grace

The overcomer of senses
Bedewed with the dew of divinity
And the song of bare skin

This she has made known
To me in her glory
Penetrating deeply into
Her eternal nature

Way

road1

She was far and near
High and low
Present and yet hidden
She made herself accessible
Yet no one could grasp her

— Heinrich Seuse (ca. 1295-1366)

Awareness

revelationofdesire

her body radiates awareness
not nothingness but something
all she has in her hunger a
desperate whimper she
rode around in buses
being female
