She was seen toward the middle of the last decade in her usual disheveled state in the neighborhood of a nearby public house. She never answered when spoken to and often vanished mysteriously. She finally disappeared for good when a man who had been harassing her was found mutilated, his corpse lying in the street close to her favorite haunting place.
A young woman named Marion Bonnington who was out walking near Hamstreet in 2014 captured perhaps the most graphic depiction of the ghost in a photo she sent to her sister in Seven Oaks. Bonnington was never seen again.
