This communication is to inform you of an incident that took place yesterday, November 18.  A student walked into the boys bathroom on the second floor and found what appeared to be bullets in the toilet.  He informed school personnel.  Our police liaison officer, was called to the bathroom.  Once the items were remove, they were determined to be bullets.  We investigated using our surveillance equipment and identified the student who placed the bullets in the toilet.  The student admitted that he did it, stating that he is a hunter.  That afternoon, he put on his jacket and did not realize that the bullets were in his jacket until he got to school.  He became frightened and decided to throw them away.  We have administered consequences for this action.

We have reminded all students, through class meetings, that if they mistakenly bring an item that would be considered a weapon to school, they must  see an administrator immediately.  When students come to us for help we will assist them without penalty.  Please help us to convey this message to your student.
