Let’s see: I started on the internet on the Yahoo blog — I liked it because you could put an image and text in, and was therefore able to combine my art and my writing. I pretty much put up my complete poetical works and about two or three people regularly liked it, (as long as I said I liked their stuff, of course). It’s interesting that the big sites like Yahoo couldn’t really keep the blog thing going. They just pulled the plug eventually, deleting everything. Then I more or less put my daily efforts into the msn thing, that also tanked, which I think has been transferred over here. I found the usual three or four kindred souls there, interestingly enough mostly local people like Nigel and Stella. But even before that I think the energy has gone out of blogs and into social networks. I have a facebook, but hardly ever use it because for me the internet is less about me and more about the stuff I make. My good friend Anthco introduced me to TUMBLR and I loved it and post at my site A Leak in the Safe all the time, finding the usual 3 to 4 fans. The Msn site was also not Chrome friendly so I did very little on it lately, so will see how this wordpress thang goes. Tumblr is more image oriented so maybe I’ll post quotes or something on here as well as my infrequent literary efforts. In the meantime I’ll fool around with the layout, and if I work hard for a long time, maybe get a couple of people to look at it.
