   That lunch is huger than most lunches I ever eat. And what is this weird old fashioned thing about bread? My mother made us eat a slice of bread and blechhh oleo at every meal. The oldsters I work for have to have a piece of bread with every dinner even if it’s something like mac-n-cheese. I love my bread, but only when it’s of use as an actual component. And how, if they were busy eating all this extra bread, did we become the fatso generations?!

   This was a handout from the dairy council — it was that milk and butter that they flogging…but notice these kids are biking, not being driven around by their parents…and no helmets (gasp)…

   Stella, I think the Olds eat bread with dinner like that because they’re Southern. My Southern step father did the same thing.
