‘Suspicious’ parcel: apples for Dingell

Ypsilanti Police were called to Rep. John Dingell’s office at 310 W. Michigan Ave. to investigate a suspicious package Monday afternoon, police reports said.

It turned out to be apples.

A person working in the building found the brown paper bag stapled shut and sitting outside the main office doors at about 3:50 p.m. and did not try to open it. Officers responding to the scene opened the bag and found several apples and a letter addressed to Dingell.
