Armed thieves rob 3 women

Three women were robbed outside an Ypsilanti Township apartment complex Sunday morning, officials said.

A 19-year-old Ypsilanti Township woman told police she took two friends to the 5000 block of Bosuns Way about 2:30 a.m. to show them the scene of a previous shooting, Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Cmdr. Dave Egeler said.

Two men approached their car and one flashed a semi-automatic handgun and demanded their cell phones and money. The woman and her friends, both 20, handed over their phones, cash and photo identification, and the men ran off.

No one was injured.
