Out Take

Heather – What?

Charlie – Well, it’s just…what happened in the cave, or what it seemed to me happened in the cave – I mean, was that real?

Heather –

Real? (Laughs) Who knows? No, seriously, Charlie, I’ll tell you how I think about it. Let’s say – let’s say when you’re asleep and you’re dreaming, right? And you wake up and you’re all scared and excited because of some dream that you’ve been having, and you wake up and you say whew, that wasn’t real, but you’re still sweating and everything and what you felt and thought was just the same as what you feel and think when you’re awake. So what’s the difference? Is what you feel in the real world any more real than what you feel while you were dreaming or high or whatever? It’s not the world that’s real, the only thing that’s real is what you feel, Charlie, and that’s all that’s real. Pain, fear, lust, ecstasy – sensation, that’s what Keith always said, sensation is god.
