Student arrested after table thrown

A 20-year-old University of Michigan student was arrested after he threw a table into traffic Saturday evening and ran from police, Ann Arbor police reported.

Officers on patrol in the 800 block of Packard Street at 8 p.m. said they saw the student pick up a circular table and throw it into the street, followed by a stand. The table was blocking traffic and the officers got out to tell the student to move the table off the street.

The student ran and the officers gave chase. The student was eventually tackled and could face charges of disorderly conduct and resisting police, reports said.
